Write a dialogue between the two characters below. Who are they? What are they talking about? Do your best to show who, what, where, when, why, and how in a short amount of time. Some narration is fine, but the main context of discovery should be dialogue. Pay close attention to proper punctuation.
He glanced up again. There she was, standing midway through the crowd. He rubbed the sweat off the palms of his hands as he sat down near the back corner in the shadows. There aren’t traces from any scars on this side, he thought studying her face through the low lighting. Maybe they aren’t as bad as they told me. He watched her smile and nod in agreement to something he couldn’t hear due to the music as more people came into the room. An elder man came up behind her and as she turned to shake hands he saw it. H gasped aloud at the noticeable scars that stretched down the right side of her face and neck. A hard knot lumped in his throat and a weight like a stone fell down the pit of his stomach. Standing up he threw his uneaten food away and started cutting through groups towards the door.
